Our Work
Since1992 we have been promoting and educating the public in Greece in the care and welfare of cats. We are also active in trying to relieve the suffering of sick and injured stray cats.
Our neutering program for stray cats has a positive impact on the number of stray animals in the country and also serves as a means to highlight the benefits of neutering thereby encouraging local pet owners to have their own animals sterilised.
Having been neutered, stray cats are then released and we continue to ensure that they are fed regularly in the future. As well as treating stray cats collected by our volunteers, local cat charities may also bring in stray cats for treatment and neutering.
We have a large number of people all over Greece who we are in contact with and who feed on a daily basis large numbers of these stray cats. Any cat neutered will always be fed and monitored by these kind people.
As well as neutering, the vet also treat a variety of other complaints. The pictures below show common eye problems caused by cat flu. Also ear cancer caused by the hot sun, especially on white cats. Ocassionally we also perform amputations, usually as a result of previous accidents.
